  • Account Information: When you sign in with Apple or Google, we collect your name, email address, and profile picture from your authentication provider.
  • User Content: Photos you capture, spirits you collect, and any other content you create or share within the App.
  • Subscription Information: If you purchase a subscription, we collect payment information through our third-party payment processor (RevenueCat). We do not store your payment card details directly.

2.2 Information Automatically Collected

  • Location Data: We collect your precise GPS location, heading, and movement data to enable spirit encounter features, show nearby hotspots, and determine spirit spawn locations.
  • Device Information: Device type, operating system, unique device identifiers, and mobile network information.
  • Usage Data: How you interact with the App, features you use, spirits you encounter, and other analytics data to improve our services.
  • Camera and Microphone: When you use the camera to capture spirits or the microphone for voice conversations, we process this data locally on your device and send it to our AI service providers (Google Gemini) to generate spirit content and enable voice conversations.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

  • Run the App and its features
  • Enable location-based spirit encounters and hotspot discovery
  • Generate spirit content using AI (Google Gemini)
  • Process subscriptions and payments
  • Enable voice conversations with spirits via Gemini Live API
  • Send updates, security alerts, and support messages
  • Fix technical issues and address security threats
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service

4. Third-Party Services

We use these third-party services that may collect or process your information:

4.1 Google Services

  • Google Gemini API: Used for AI-powered spirit generation, backstory creation, and image processing. Photos and audio you capture may be sent to Google for processing.
  • Google Maps: Used for map display and Points of Interest (POI) data to determine spirit spawn locations. Your location data may be shared with Google Maps.
  • Google OAuth: Used for authentication. Google's privacy policy applies to authentication data.

4.2 Apple Services

  • Sign in with Apple: Used for authentication. Apple's privacy policy applies to authentication data.

4.3 RevenueCat

Used for subscription management and payment processing. RevenueCat's privacy policy applies to payment and subscription data.

Each of these services has its own privacy policy governing how they handle your information.

5. Data Storage and Security

We use reasonable security measures to protect your personal information. No method of internet transmission or electronic storage is 100% secure.

  • Your account information and spirit vault are stored securely on our servers
  • Location data is processed in real-time and may be cached temporarily to improve performance
  • Photos and audio are processed by third-party AI services and are not permanently stored by us unless you save spirits to your vault
  • We use encryption, secure authentication, and access controls to protect your data

6. Your Rights and Choices

Depending on your location, you may have certain rights regarding your personal information:

  • Access: Request access to your personal information
  • Correction: Request correction of inaccurate information
  • Deletion: Request deletion of your account and associated data
  • Data Portability: Request a copy of your data in a portable format
  • Opt-Out: Opt out of certain data collection (note: this may limit App functionality)
  • Location Services: You can disable location services in your device settings, though this will prevent core App features from working

Phasma is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe your child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

9. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this policy. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top. Changes take effect when posted.
